This policy explains what InsureLend Compare collects, why, and how to control it.

What we collect

• Analytics data — pages viewed, referring site, approximate location (country level), device type, browser and operating system. We store a hashed form of your IP address, not the raw address.
• A first-party cookie that holds a random identifier so we can tell a returning visit from a new one. It contains no personal information and expires after one year.
• Language preference — a cookie recording which language you selected.
• Calculator inputs — the numbers you type into a calculator are used to produce the result. We do not store your financial inputs unless you submit a quote request form.
• Quote request details — if you fill in a form, the details you provide are stored and, where you have consented, passed to the relevant company.

What we do not collect

We do not buy personal data, we do not sell personal data, and we do not run cross-site behavioural advertising profiles ourselves.

Cookies

We use first-party cookies for session handling, language choice and analytics. Third parties may set their own cookies:

• Advertising networks — may set cookies to limit repetition and measure performance. You can opt out through your browser settings or the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.
• Affiliate tracking — when you click a partner link, that company may set a cookie to attribute the referral. This is how commission is calculated. Its duration is stated on the company's page (typically 14 to 45 days).

You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time. Blocking affiliate cookies does not change the price you are offered.

Legal bases (EEA/UK visitors)

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: legitimate interests for analytics and fraud prevention; consent for advertising cookies and for passing quote details to a company; and contract necessity where you ask us to connect you with a provider.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details in the site footer. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Data retention

Aggregate analytics are retained for up to 24 months. Quote request records are retained for as long as needed to process the request and meet legal obligations, then deleted.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be published on this page with an updated date.
